Hi All:

Have you ever had a problem with 7.1 kicking you out of forms mode when on the Internet? It doesn't happen constantly, but it happens eough to tell me that I'm not hitting the Enter key in mysleep or something. I'm still running 7.0 at home, but have 7.1 and XP pro at work. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Lou

I don't have 7.x, but I vaguely remember there being something different about forms mode (some setting) [Damn that's vague but I just don't remember].

Suggest you check the "what's new in help and see if something rings a bell.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

Bob

Thanks, Bob. I'll look at it on Monday.

hmmm, is this after you refresh a web page? if so, that is norma.l.

No. As an example, I use web-based e-mail. When I want to check it from work, I can be in the middle of signing in, and it will spontaneously exit forms mode. It isn't a major problem, but it is an annoyance.

well, there isn't much of a difference between 7.0 and 7.1 i have used both and had no problems. anyways, does the page have flash or something the refreshes? it may only be a picture or activeX control

Good point. Didn't think of that. Thanks.

Rat is right. It sounds like something is spontaneously refreshing your page. Go into the verbosity settings for that page and set refresh page off, and see if that helps. If it does you may have to set it permanently for that page. If it's several pages, then there's something else refreshing the screen and would have to be investigated in more detail.

Good call Rat.

Well, I use JAWS 7.1, and I've had problems that use flash, but it's not a major problem. There are also other settings in the config manager. I would check in there.
